Who's eligible to be in the Regents Scholars Society?
All UCD students who have been awarded a Regents Scholarship are eligible for membership. Continued membership depends upon:
  1. The maintenance of the academic standards set forth by the University of California Regents for continued scholarship eligibility and
  2. Active participation in the UCD RSS through attendance of at least three RSS events per quarter.
The list of active members is available in the members section.
How do I fulfill the requirements to be a member in good standing?
In order to remain in good standing, Society members must attend at least three events per quarter. A record of each member's involvement will be kept, and this record will be reviewed at the start of each new quarter at the first Executive Board meeting. If a member is found to have not fulfilled their membership requirements, they will be put on probation for the upcoming quarter and must attend two events in addition to the required three for that quarter. If their obligations are not fulfilled during this probation quarter, their membership status will be removed.
Do General Meetings count as an event that can go towards the quarterly requirement to maintain active membership?
Yes. Any event hosted by the club can count towards the three required quarterly events.
What are the dues and why should I pay them?
By paying the dues, you constitute yourself as an active member of RSS. The dues are $5 per quarter or $10 for the whole year. The dues are used to put on events for the club. Members who pay dues will receive discounts at many of our events.
What are the positions on the Executive Board?

The positions were slightly modified for the Spring 2008 elections.

What is the Regents Scholars Conference?
The Regents Scholars Conference is an annual event attended by all the Regents Scholars Societies from all the UC campuses. Every year it is held at a different campus. Conference is one of the only chances Regents Scholars from all the UCs have to mingle with each other during the year. The conference includes three rounds of workshops on various topics, ranging from how to dress for an interview to the development of the Scholars Societies. The 2008 conference was held at UCLA from April 4 to April 6. Next year's will be at Davis, check the conference page for more information.
What is the Winter Retreat?
We've already gone on the Winter Retreat for 2008. It was great! Check out our pictures and make sure to tag along next year!
