Hey everybody,

I'd like to welcome you all to the new ucdrss.org. I'm just now entering my second term as webmaster, and I'd like to take this time to congratulate all of the new Executive Board team.

So, what's new? you might ask. Well, a lot, for starters. The events section is now a much cleaner calendar, the pictures section is now smarter, and there's even an RSVP system that will be helpful for our big events like the end-of-the-year banquet and RSCA Conference.

I hope you're all excited for RSS 2008-2009 as I am!

Sudwerk's is delicious, both in taste and in looks. The planned arrival time is 6:15, and we will hope to be eating by 7:00. If you are in need of a ride to Sudwerk's, then please let me know and I will arrange one for you. If you can drive, also note that in your RSVP.

Directions to Sudwerk's: Take 5th St. eastward, and turn right onto L St. Continue on L, which will curve to the left and eventually become 2nd St. Sudwerk's is located at 2001 2nd St., under the Pole Line Overpass.

Banquet 2008!!

This year's RSS Banquet will be held at Sudwerk's on Thursday, June 5th, at 6:15 PM. Please dress semi-formally, i.e. no wifebeaters with jeans. Sudwerk's is located at 2001 2nd St. To get there, take 5th eastward, turn right on L, and follow L all the way down. It will eventually curve right and become 2nd St. Sudwerk's is under the Pole Line Overpass.

RSS & RCSA SUPER SUMMER RETREAT

A weekend where UC Regents and Chancellor\'s scholars can bond and have some fun! This will be a chance for us all to relax in the sun and share some quality time before the summer ends. We will have 2 houses rented and the cost is currently set at $52, although that may go down if more people join in. So get ready for the Super Summer Retreat! =)
